Rainbow Spinners

Pupils investigated the splitting and mixing of light. In this activity , the pupils learned that not only can white light be broken up into rainbow colours, but also that rainbow colours can be brought together to produce white light!

Field Trip and Local Historical Walk – Jan 2022

Staff and pupils went on a walk around the locality of Barna one sunny afternoon. We were joined by some neighbours and we learned a lot about the local history of the area, the history of the school and surrounding buildings. And we met two very friendly donkeys along the way called Mikey and Paddy!

Jersey Day “Team up for Theo” – Dec. 2020

Our pupils showed incredible generosity as they dressed up in their favourite jerseys and raised an amazing €500 for the “Team up for Theo” campaign! We are extremely proud of the pupils’ empathy and generosity! Well Done!!

Limerick Rally Call for the Limerick Hurling Team

We had fantastic fun creating this video which we sent to the Limerick Hurling team before the All Ireland. It felt strange rallying our Limerick hurlers 2 weeks before Christmas but we quickly found our voices as we prepared to support our Limerick heroes on All Ireland Hurling Final Day.

Christmas at Barna NS 2020

The pupils decorated the glass corridor for Christmas and added some of  their Christmas art decorations and cheer.

Aistear “The Post Office”
