School Newsletter – April 2018

Physical Education

PE day is Mondays for April and June. All pupils are to wear their navy tracksuits and 3rd – 6th class pupils are to bring in their helmets, hurleys and football boots.

PE curriculum for next 8 weeks:

GAA Coaching : Football (Juniors -2nd class) & Hurling (3rd-6th classes)    

Athletics: Junior Infants – 6th classes

Active School Week

Active School Week:  Monday 23rd April – Friday 27th April inclusive.

During Active School week, pupils can wear their tracksuits for the entire week. We have a number of activities scheduled for the week to keep everyone moving and active!!

  • Monday 23rd April: Tae-kwondo (Instructor )
  • Tuesday 24th April: Active Run in School Field. Please Note:  Junior Room =Fancy Dress Run!
  • Wednesday 25th April: GAA Coaching Hurling and Football
  • Thursday 26th April: Golf (Instructor from Ballykisteen Golf Club)
  • Friday 27th April: SCHOOL WALK 2km around the locality. This will start at 9.10am and parents are very welcome to join in!! Pupils can bring in a high-visibility jacket if they have one.

After-School Training (Hurling) will commence this Friday (3rd – 6th) until 3.30pm.Players must have helmets.

School Photographs: Money can be returned to school this week please.

School Tour Tuesday 5th June is going to Ballymorris Pottery School and Bunratty Castle and Folk Park and Supermacs! (Junior Infants – 6th class altogether) More Details to follow……

Music : Music will now be Thursdays with Katie (Comhaltas Music Tutor)

School Fundraising: OLD CLOTHES RECYCLING COLLECTION May 22nd : Bags can be dropped into the school at any time or day. We thank you for your support!
